THIS week in Melbourne marks an exciting development for many talented young players around the country, with an under-23 futures leagueTwenty20 competition. It's a chance for these players to push their claims for an opportunity to play in the KFC Big Bash later this month and perhaps snare a multimillion-dollar IPL contract in years to come.The concept is fantastic and will produce some exciting cricket. The teams are allowed to play up to three players over the age of 23. Apparently, Andrew Symonds and Shaun Tait will play for their respective states in this category.
