Lehmann Leads Sa To Victory

South Australian captain Darren Lehmann led with bat and ball, spurring his team to an emphatic seven-wicket win over Victoria in the one-day cricket match at Adelaide Oval yesterday.

Lehmann took three wickets to help bowl out the Bushrangers for a lacklustre 177 in the 45th over of their innings.

At stumps he was unbeaten with 69 off 59 deliveries, as SA cruised to 3-179 with more than 12 overs to spare to claim a bonus point.

Ben Johnson hit a four off Ben Oliver to bring up the winning runs and was the other not-out batsman with nine.

Lehmann said the victory helped overcome any disappointment from only managing two first-innings points rather than an outright win in the four-day match against Victoria, which ended in a draw on Saturday.
