Test spearhead Glenn McGrath will warm up for the series against the West Indies with a rare appearance for NSW in the four-day cricket match with South Australia starting at Bankstown Oval tomorrow.

While the team had not been officially announced late yesterday, it was understood McGrath would replace young paceman Nathan Bracken in the squad.

McGrath was rested from NSW's one and four-day games against Tasmania last week because of a sore shoulder.

With an outright win over Victoria and first innings points against Tasmania, NSW is currently second on the Pura Cup ladder on eight points, six behind Queensland.

The likely NSW squad: Michael Slater, Corey Richards, Mark Waugh, Stephen Waugh (captain) Michael Bevan, Shane Lee, Brad Haddin, Mark Higgs, Stuart MacGill, Brett Lee, Glenn McGrath, Don Nash, Jamie Stewart.
